Room Tax: Tourist rooming houses are subject to Woodruff room tax which is paid on a quarterly basis based on gross earnings for the quarter. Per Woodruff Ordinance 67-22, accommodation room tax rate is 5.5% of gross receipts from retail furnishing of rooms or lodging. Room taxes are filed and paid online by the 15th of the month following the end of each calendar quarter. The quarterly report must be filed by the property owner online, even if your room tax is paid by a marketplace provider (i.e. Airbnb, Evolve, Expedia etc.).
